Where to eat in NYC

NYC can actually be a very cheap place to eat if you know where to go.

My favourite place to eat worldwide is in fact in NYV and goes by the name ‘La Caridad’.  For $25 two of you can eat very well and I recommend the beef stew + black beans + yellow rice.

La Caridad serv Cuban/Chinese food and the cafe/restaurant is always busy and they always have several guys serving. Their address is: 2199 Broadway, New York 10024. It’s on the corner of 78th and Broadway and if you get lost call them on 212-874-2780.

Planning a family trip to San Francisco and at a loss for what to do? Don´t fret, San Francisco has plenty of activities and museums that will keep both the kids and parents amused.

For animation fans, check out the Cartoon Art Museum located at Yerba Buena Gardens. Endowed by Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz – it´s the only museum in the western US dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of cartoon art in all.

Be sure to swing by the Aquarium of the Bay, which features over 20,000 aquatic animals – including bat rays, the rare angel shark and the giant pacific octopus.

What’s a trip to the US without catching a ball game?  Visit AT&T Park with its spectacular views of the waterfront and classic architecture. Be sure to book some bleacher seats, starting at $13, for the true experience.

Finally, if you´re going to San Francisco – you must see Al Capone´s former home – Alcatraz.  One of the most famous prisons in the world, Alcatraz is a short ferry ride from Fisherman’s Wharf and offers numerous daily tours that range on subject and hour.

For Romance Paris is hard to beat but New York is becoming not just a city know for it’s apple pie, modern art, shopping and theatre. Below you’ll find a list of places to take your love one the next time you visit this great city.

The very top of the Empire State Building, 350 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street (212-736-3100), could be New York’s City’s most famous romantic spot. On a clear day, you’ll have fantastic views across the city. It’s often cold up there so it’ll give you a good excuse to get close to each other.

Oysters are an afrodisiac and what better way to feed the love is to eat oysters at the Grand Central Oyster Bar beneath Grand Central station. This is a gorgeous spectacle, with its vaulted arches, its white-tiled

If grass and trees is more your idea of romance, take a handsome cab ride through Central Park. No one could resist snuggling up in the back of a plush horse-drawn carriage while enjoying the wonderful Central Park. Cabs can be got at 59th Street (Central Park South) at 5th Avenue.

In a concrete city, there are some wonderful green spaces beckoning for romance. Apart from the obvious Central Park, take a look at some of the  botanical gardens in all the boroughs, from Queens to Staten Island.

Eating in New York is a past time for all inhabitants and there’s nothing like strolling the streets of Manhattan and “stumbling” upon a place to eat. Many of the restaurants in Greenwich village are cosy and steeped in history.

Take a trip to Hotel Mount Vernon Hotel Museum which is one of the oldest buildings in Manhattan. Their guided tour offers an interesting trip through beautiful rooms and a garden.
